ECC can create test fixtures that will lock a connector in fixture to prevent the operator from removing a bad harness from the board. This can be done with a pneumatic cylinder of electric solenoid. These devices are typically interfaced to a circuit analyzer and programmed to release the connector only upon a successful test. Similarly, a marking device (typically a scribe) can also be incorporated which will etch a small circle in the housing of the connector upon a successful test.
